My name is Darren Killeen. I am 28 years old and on Tuesday 16th of June 2020 was my first day fishing the river severn for carp. My location of choice was a stretch of the severn by lincomb lock’s in Stourport. I found a nice looking spot by some overhanging tree’s. I baited it up with 5kg of 20mm shimano tx1 boillies with matching hook bait and a size 6 b-rig. I sat and waited out the storm and woke to a screaming run the next morning at 7am on the 17th of June. When the fish hit the surface my heart started racing as I caught a glance of my first ever river carp and here she is at 19lb 10oz one dark looking common carp and what a fish to start the season with
