Dovecote Lake Blunham AC is a carp lake based in Willington, Bedford, United Kingdom. It has a stock of around carp and is 60 Acres in size. The biggest carp is over 45lb+
The Dovecote Lake is a mixed fishery with Carp, Bream, Tench, Roach, Perch and Pike. Over the last few seasons the club has stocked over 350 Carp into the lake with the majority being the famous Dinks/Leney crosses from Priory Fisheries. These fish have grown on in the last 10 years and now there is a good number of fish of over 20lbs and also quite a few have now grown to over 30lbs and one exceptional fish known as “One Eye” has been caught a number of times at 48-49lbs and its top weight recorded so far was just over 50lbs.The lake has good access and is open all year.
Hithcocks Lake has had an initial stocking of over 100 Priory fisheries Carp to supplement the existing stock and these are growing well and soon will be coming out at over 20lbs. There are also known to be Roach, Tench, Pike and Perch present.
