Are you looking for a carp fishing holiday near Calais? Then the 250-acre domain ”Jurassik Carpe” is the right place for you! All three lakes are unique. With 25-acres Jurassik Carpe 2 is the medium sized lake on the complex. The depth variations between 3-21ft, covert margins by reeds and overhanging trees, and a large carp stock with fish up to 62lb make Jurassik Carpe 2 a perfect destination for a weekend, midweek or full week stay.

Jurassik Carpe 2 has 11 spacious swims for a maximum of 13 anglers in total. Every swim has at least 4 acres! The swims are placed strategically so you don’t have any neighbours on the opposite bank. So your peace, space and privacy are guaranteed!

The lake is fed by several sources and is located on the backside of the domain. This lake is perfect to rent by a group of fishing friends. The quality of the water and the amount of natural food in the lake is excellent. An increase in size and weight of the current carp is evident! The structure of the soil is a mixture of sand, gravel and light mud. The lakesides have large reed beds, which made it also possible to have a catch very close to the bank!

The lake will challenge the angler, the reason for this is the weed growth, and however, with healthy and balanced carp stock there is certainly no low occupancy. With the approval of the manager, it may be possible to follow the carp and relocate to a free swim, increasing the chance of catching fish. Blanking is very rare, but still we do emphasise that this lake is not suitable for beginning anglers. Experienced anglers will succeed at this lake. When you like a challenge, this lake has great opportunities for exquisite catches!

Although it is hard to estimate the exact carp stock we know that Jurassik Carpe 2 has a lot of potentials. Nearly every week, several carp over 40lb are caught! The average weight of the carp caught over the last years was around 30lb. Besides carp, you also have the chance to catch big sturgeon, grass carp and koi.

In December 2016, the fish stock was further expanded with 102 carp with an average weight of 28lb. In December 2019, a stocking of 97 carp and 6 koi has taken place and in Februari 2021 an additional stocking of 60 carp between 25 and 45lb has taken place. The owner of Jurassik Carpe 2 estimates that there are about 750 carp swimming around on the lake, with a 62lb mirror carp and 52lb common as top fish. There are 2 carp above 55lb, 12 carp above 45lb and around 300 carp between 30 to 45lb.
