Claverhambury Carp Lakes
Claverhambury Carp Lakes is a carp lake based in Waltham Abbey, Essex, United Kingdom. It has a stock of around carp and is 2 Acres in size. The biggest carp is over 20lb+
The Bottom Lake, nearest the car park is our match lake. It is stocked with carp – plenty of doubles up to 30lb, Roach – plenty of fish up to 2lb and some Rudd. The lake is approximately 2 acres, deeper at the car park end and shallows towards the far end with a central channel. Match weights can run into treble figures. There are 25 pegs spaced approximately 15/20 feet apart.
The Top lake is a short walk around the Match Lake and across the field. It is stocked with carp up to 20lb and some roach. This lake is easier to fish and good for beginners. The lake is approximately 2 acres, 12 spaces but no numbered pegs, from 3 to 10 feet apart.
We open at 6.30am and close at 7pm – or as it gets dark in winter. There is no night fishing.
There is a toilet block with hot and cold water.

Please be aware that as a working farm, for the sake of safety, the surrounding area and adjacent fields should not be trespassed upon.
Other rules: No barbed hooks. No keep nets unless authorised. All fish are to be returned alive, uninjured. Only two rods and lines permitted, extra rods, please ask. No dogs, open fires or litter. Use the car park, do not cause obstructions. All anglers must have a valid Environment Agency rod licence.
