Etang de villaine has an impressive carp stock; it is probably one of the best lakes in France in this category (size, number of anglers). It’s a 6 acre lake located in the centre of France – close to many picturesque, historical sites, including the huge castle of Culan. You will find 5 very comfortable swims (2 double and 3 single swims) with shelters to enjoy your meal, whatever the weather.
In spite of all these facilities the lake has kept its wild spirit. The landscape is as magnificent as well as the carp stock. Indeed, the average weight is 40lb with many carp over that. You stand a good chance to catch a 50+ during your stay. Finally, we count no fewer than 4 fish over 60 lbs.
