Chilston Stour Syndicate
|
Chilston Stour Syndicate is a carp lake based in Canterbury, Kent, United Kingdom. It has a stock of around carp and is 14 Acres in size. The biggest carp is over 40lb+
Set in the heart of the Stour Valley, Stour lake is an old mature gravel pit of around 14 acres and an average depth of 5ft, but ranging from 1ft to 10ft.
There are a magnitude of features in every swim, from large weed beds, reeds and islands, to silty channels and gravel patches.
The lake itself is spring fed which gives a fantastic water quality and clarity. One of the first jobs that was performed after the take over was to raise the water level. This was to aid the fish as well as making large parts of the lake inaccessible to diving birds.
The hundreds of tree’s we planted in the first months of new ownership are starting to provide a lot of bank cover and bring character to what used to be a featureless bank.
