Joseff Rosser from Wales was crowned winner of the Junior Carp Championships at Windsor View Lakes following a three-fish catch in the final for a combined weight of 29lb 6oz.
Second place went to Adam Biddulph, who had one fish of 11lb 2oz, while Harry Hogan made it on to the podium in third place on 10lb 2oz. Fourth place in the final went to George Birchard on 9lb 2oz, while fifth was taken by Luke Boughen on 9lb.
The new event that took place on Front Lake at the Berkshire venue was set up by Neil Richards just a few months ago following the dissolution of the British Young Carpers’ Angling Championships and proved to be hugely popular, with all 40 places snapped up. Numerous companies showed their support by sponsoring the event and providing prizes for the junior anglers.
