Get applications in for Carp Academy 2017

Anglers aged between and including the ages of 13 and 17 have got until 30th April to get their applications in for this summer’s Carp Academy.

The Carp Academy concept sees youngsters team up with a member of the Korda team for three days of tuition on all aspects of the sport at a first-class venue in Oxford (to be announced in the near future), with end tackle, bait and food provided free of charge thanks to generous support from various companies.

Set up by Korda boss Danny Fairbrass to encourage the next generation of youngsters into the sport and to grow their enthusiasm for all aspects of carping, the event ends with a graduation ceremony and prize presentation rewarding special achievements and effort.

The event is being filmed by a TV crew, with Korda marketing chief and Big Fish Off star Ali Hamidi presenting, covering the action as it happens around the complex with catches, tactical insights and interviews from the big-name anglers coaching students. Previous years have seen many personal bests broken and students going on achieve great results following the event.

Carp Academy will take place between 1st and 3rd August and the successful applicants notified in early May. Interested parties should print out an application form from https://goo.gl/ilWc0E, fill it out and send it to the following address: FAO Carp Academy, Korda Developments LTD, Kazoku House, Honywood Road, Basildon, Essex, SS14 3TS.
