F4S founder to run London Marathon

Sixty-four-year-old founder and director of the Fishing 4 Schools (F4S) initiative Charles Jardine will run the London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April to raise funds for the project which offers education through fishing to children who struggle in the classroom environment.

Charles said: “F4S is 10 years old this year and I wanted to do something to mark this milestone. We started with just one school and a cluster of young people with learning difficulties. Today we have in the region of 60 schools on our books and have reached out to young people from all walks of life and circumstances, offering them an interest and an opportunity to learn through angling. F4S continues to grow, and that growth needs funding, that’s why at the age of 64 I will run the Marathon again. These young people deserve every bit of effort I can muster.”

Charles has already raised more than £4000 for the cause and can be sponsored at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Charles-Jardine3.
