Top angler and Orchid Lakes owner Marsh Pratley is on a mission to make as much money as possible for the Children with Cancer UK charity.
Having been diagnosed with an incurable form of the disease himself, Marsh is more fired up than ever to reach his goal of £250,000 raised for the charity since he became chairman of Anglers Against Cancer four years ago. Thankfully the carp angling world is right behind him and right now, there is an auction site allowing you to bid for your chance to fish with one of four celebrity carp anglers: Dave Lane, Ian ‘Chilly’ Chillcott, Rob Hughes and Tim Paisley.
Should you win a place in the auction, you will be invited to fish a 24-hour session on the Hook Lake syndicate in Hertfordshire. The exclusive lake is home to some stunning English carp to over 30lb, and this could be your only chance to fish there, all in the name of charity. There will be a goodie bag provided on arrival courtesy of Mainline Baits and Korda Developments, plus you can take advantage of a barbeque on the Saturday evening and a full English breakfast on Sunday morning.
Bidding is already underway and you will have to dig deep if you want to get your chance to fish in this fantastic event. To bid and to find out more information about the event, head over to www.hooklake.co.uk/auction.
