Upper Tamar Lake in Cornwall will host a 26-hour carp pairs match later this year to help raise money for Chy Keres, Hft’s specialist short-break and respite care centre in Tregadillet.
The match will take place between 12th and 13th August, with places priced at £90 per pair (plus a £6.09 booking fee). There will be a number of prizes on offer, including hundreds of pounds of Pallatrax goodies, bite alarms and Upper Tamar tickets.
South West Lakes Trust fishery manager Ben Smeeth said: “We are delighted to be hosting the Hft charity carp competition at our fishery on the magnificent Upper Tamar Lake. It’s a really worthwhile cause and I would urge all anglers to get involved and support the event.”
Harriet Winfrey, Hft regional fundraising manager, said: “We’re extremely grateful to Pallatrax and the South West Lakes Trust for sponsoring Hft’s very first Carp Open Pairs match. With some fantastic prizes on offer, we would encourage anyone who loves fishing and relishes a healthy bit of competition to come along for what promises to be a great day out.”
Places in the match can be booked at hft-carp.eventbrite.co.uk or by ringing 0117 9061767.
