Potomac Lake BMAPS
|
Potomac Lake BMAPS is a carp lake based in Brentford, Greater London, United Kingdom. It has a stock of around carp and is 1.5 Acres in size. The biggest carp is over 30lb+
BMAPS acquired the fishing rights to the Potomac in 2019. It had been left derelict for a number of years and was seriously overgrown and in need of some TLC.
The Potomac can be dated back to the 1700’s. Originally a clay pit called “Cole’s Hole”, it was purchased by The Rothschild family in the 1800’s. They landscaped the area and transformed the old Kiln into the Gothic Folley that we see today.
The Potomac can reach approximately 24ft deep when the water levels are up. It is heavily stocked with plenty of carp. Mostly Commons averaging the 12-14lb mark. Since our tenure, the largest carp has been a 25.4lb Common. Although we cannot be sure of exactly how big the carp run to, locals are certain there are a few 30lb plus fish present. The lake also holds a good head of Pike, again rumoured to go to 20lb plus and having previously held the British second at a whopping 38lb 4oz!
We run a limited number of Night fishing permits on this venue.
