The lake was once part London Brick Company’s clay extraction in the 1970’s which is now a mature lake with 20 swims. Each peg is comfortable with a mix of natural banks and wooden platforms. The lake is extremely deep ranging from 15ft in front of peg 1 dropping away to up to 30ft in the middle, with a 4ft ledge on some pegs which drops very steeply down. Carp are present with a good head of silver fish which goes to make this a wonderful mixed fishery for the beginner up to the serious carp angler. Secure parking in the designated carpark with a short walk to the lake, two paths forking either side of the lake will bring you to a small bit of tranquillity in Bedfordshire. Please read all rules of the club and lake before you fish. Extreme Caution must be taken at this lake as it is extremely deep. All rubbish must be put in the bins provided or taken away with you.
