Mainlake Merrington Carp Fishery is a carp lake based in Baschurch, Shropshire, United Kingdom. It has a stock of around 200+ carp and is 8 Acres in size. The biggest carp is over 40lb+
At 8 acres in size & having 15 comfortable single swims the mainlake is our specimen water with a rough stock of 275 fish!
90% of those are over 20lb, 47 x known 30’s & 2 known 40’s to 43lb 8oz.
Lake records stand at 43lb 8oz (Mirror) & 41lb 8oz (Common).
The mainlake definitely has its rewards but is far from an easy water.
This lake is definitely not for beginners as blanks happen regularly to the most seasoned of anglers.
