Here at Coole Acres Fishery, we provide three well stocked lakes, two of which stand out as the very best specimen lakes in the north. With carp exceeding 40lb and catfish up to 60lb, and a ridiculous amount of 30lb + fish our lakes offer an unparalleled fishing experience.
Fox Lake Coole Acres Fishery
Fox Lake at Coole Acres, a stunning 5-acre lake, offers the very best specimen angling in the north. Known for its big catches, boasting carp over 40lb and catfish over 60lb, it’s a specimen angler’s paradise. With an abundance of 30lb+ carp and a growing number of 25 30s, the excitement never stops. Stocked with 150 carp averaging 23-28lb, Fox Lake guarantees a thrilling angling experience. Prepare for a challenge as fox is known for being a tough but very rewarding water.
The original fish population in Fox Lake was initially stocked by local colleges and fish farms, resulting in robust growth; almost every fish now exceeds 20lb. Since we began in 2022, we’ve introduced approximately 40 new fish to Fox Lake, with the majority weighing between 24lb and 40lb. These fish thrive on a diet of top-tier high-protein pellets, ensuring significant weight gains.
New for 2024 Kingfisher Lake specimen water
Kingfisher Lake, introduced in 2024, spans 1.4 acres and promises exceptional specimen angling. This lake was meticulously stocked with 48 carp, reaching up to an impressive 32.08lb, sourced from top-tier fish suppliers. The standout 32.08lb carp, affectionately dubbed “MR T,” has since surged to a remarkable 34lb and is on track to potentially hit the coveted 40lb milestone within the next two years. With just 8 swims, Kingfisher remains a hidden gem, offering both comfort and a fantastic social setting for up to 8 anglers.

Featuring five beautiful swims, including two double gravel swims designed for disabled access, it caters to everyone.
