Chard Reservoir is 48 acres of open water. It is popular venue for Match Anglers, Carp Anglers, Ornithologist and Walkers alike. Carp (to 33lb), Bream (to 7lb), Tench and Roach dominate this water.
Chard Angling Club in conjunction with South Somerset District Council control the waters. Night fishing is permitted and proves very popular amongst the Carp Anglers as the swims are large and accessible for bivvys. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted on the shoreline and therefore aren’t allowed to accompany anglers.
