Situated at the centre of our established fishery, here you will find our private two and a half acre carp lake… Blue Lias. Named after the stone which was quarried for from 1864 by Barnstone Cement Factory.
As part of the works carried out since the purchase of Barnstone Lakes in 2017, we wanted to create a lake that a small group of anglers could enjoy together, with exclusive use and good quality facilities. So, in 2019 we transformed one of the original stock ponds and are now able to offer our Private Social Lake for hire.
Since the creation of the lake, we have introduced over sixty fish both Mirror and Common Carp. These range from 15 – 24lb.
